The Global Speech and Debate Council ("The Council") establishes these terms to ensure a prestigious, fair, and intellectually rigorous environment for all participants. By accessing our portal, you enter into a binding agreement to uphold the Academic Vanguard standards.

01. Key Definitions

Member

Any individual or institution officially registered with the Council, granted access to standard competition circuits and the basic Resource Library.

Subscriber

An entity maintaining an active "Premium Scholar" or "Academy Elite" subscription, providing access to exclusive curriculum, masterclasses, and priority registration.

The Council

The Global Speech and Debate Council (GSDC), the governing body responsible for tournament adjudication, curriculum development, and international ranking maintenance.

02. Payment & Refunds

The Academy Guarantee

We stand by the quality of our academic resources. The Council offers a standard 14-day evaluation period for all subscription-based memberships.

  • check_circlePro-rated credit for tournament cancellations made 30 days prior to the event.
  • check_circleNo refunds are issued for completed tournament cycles or utilized intellectual property.

03. Intellectual Property

Curriculum Rights

All debate frameworks, lesson plans, and logic models distributed via the Member Portal are the exclusive property of GSDC. Commercial reproduction or unauthorized institutional distribution is strictly prohibited.

Tournament Recordings

By participating in Council-sanctioned events, Members grant GSDC a non-exclusive, global license to record, archive, and utilize debate rounds for educational purposes and institutional promotion.

Note: Fair Use exceptions apply for individual debaters seeking to use clips for personal academic portfolios, provided appropriate attribution to the Council is maintained.

Acknowledgement

By continuing to use the Global Speech and Debate Council portal, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms are subject to update with 30-day notice to all active Members and Subscribers.
